Three layers, easy to confuse: projects funded and under way, projects funded in this year’s budget, and projects council wants someone else to fund. This page keeps them separate.
Funded and under way
From council’s Major Projects hub (read 3 July 2026):

The hub also describes the 10-Year Road Renewal Program at more than $400 million across the decade after an extra $20 million over four years was added. The West Gosford sewer main is being replaced because, in council’s words, the existing infrastructure ruptured twice in the last five years.
Funded in the 2026-27 budget
The adopted budget puts $348.9 million into capital works this financial year. The headline items: $44.6m for roads, $40.2m for the Charmhaven plant, $14.7m for the West Gosford sewer main, $13.86m of new shared pathways, and $8.65m for the Ocean Beach and Rawson Road intersection at Woy Woy. The wishlist
Council’s Key Enabling Projects 2026 document asks the state and federal governments for just over $550 million of costed projects (our sum), from the Gosford waterfront to a northern aquatic centre, plus a longer uncosted advocacy list. Item by item in our wishlist story. Nothing in that document is funded until an announcement says so; when one does, the project moves up this page.
